Step Covers
Hi-Traction® and HiGlo-Traction® Step Covers are designed to wrap over the leading edge with a standard 1 in vertical lip (C), thereby covering the radius where most slips occur.
It is not necessary to cover the entire step. When measuring the length of your step (A), leave some empty space on either side of the step cover to allow for seasonal expansion and contraction and for any irregularities that may exist from step to step.

Cover Steps to the Proper Depth
The depth of the Step Cover for your stairway depends on your foot traffic:
- What type of footwear is worn in the area?
- What substrate do you intend to cover?
- What is the condition of the existing stairs?
- How many steps are in the stairwell?
Walkway and Ramp Covers
Walkway and Ramp Covers are sized to meet your specifications with Width (A) and Length (B) made to order.
Measure your work area or walkway and make note of where any non-movable elements are located. Covers can be configured in multiple pieces for large areas, or in a heel-toe pattern to create a designated safe walking path. We will help to develop the most cost-effective strategy for your application.
- Fiberglass (FRP): Maximum 4′ x 8′
- Steel Maximum: 4′ x 4′
- Heavy Duty Aluminum: Maximum 4′ x 8′
- Vinyl (Flexible PVC): Maximum 4′ x 4′
- Geomembrane (Roll Traction®): Maximum 58 in wide (see Roll Traction sizes).
Ladder Rung Covers
Important: The (A) dimension is generally up to 2 in shorter than the length of the rung. If complete rung coverage is desired, make sure that no obstruction (for example: a weld bead) will interfere with the seating of the rung cover.
